Who Is This Song For?
It’s for YOUR eyes. They make the difference.
When did I write It?
I wrote it when I was young, in my early twenties. The song was recorded after a few years, in a bit of a rush, around 2006. I need to thank my dear friend Toni for helping me shoot the video. Back then, I was a bit chubbier and had long hair (thanks to spending a year in Spain I put on about 20 pounds…). To film it, we used one of the first digital cameras which supported only 4:3 videos but we had so much fun together! I first published it in 2008 but then re-published it in 2012, almost unvaried.
Russian Subtitles, WHY?
To make a long story short, a Russian friend of time offered to translate the lyrics and I said: ‘That’s wonderful!’ Thank you so much Viktoria! At that time captions on YouTube were not available, so I had to embed the subtitles. Now however, you can also find the captions in English and the translation in Spanish and Portuguese.
Your Eyes Lyrics
What I was thinking just god knows,
I saw your eyes and there I froze,
you’ve no idea what you arose,
oh, hell! I was so close!
But for some reason I was blocked,
my arms, my heart and my breath stopped
and I kept staring at your eyes,
you got me hypnotised!
Who are you? Who brought you?
Who sent you? Who called you?
And since then I can’t see
without your eyes in me,
you are my fantasy!
If I went back I’m sure, I know,
that I would be so stuck and slow,
’cause, baby, I could never fight
the power of your eyes.
Who are you? Who brought you?
Who sent you? Who called you?
And since then I can’t see
without your eyes in me,
you are my fantasy!
Who are you? Who brought you?
Who sent you? Who called you?
And since then I can’t see
without your eyes in me,
you are my destiny!
