Slow English Song with Lyrics

The story behind ‘Where We Belong’ a slow English song with lyrics

I wrote and recorded this song in 2008. Life and finding yourself is what inspired me. The official title is Where We Belong, although on YouTube I named it Slow English Song with Lyrics, because that’s what it really is. Peace of mind is certainly the most representative phrase. However, I chose ‘Where We Belong’, probably because WE means all of us and WE all share the same world.

Below is the lyric video. Captions are available with translation into Hindi, Bangla, Spanish and Italian. You can find the transcription of the whole lyrics below the video and more songs with lyrics if you want to practice or improve your English with music.

Looking for, trying to open doors.
Ringing bells, sending them to hell.
Or sitting by my side, expecting no surprise.
When it’s about love, nothing will work,
nothing will do, will break,
will move, will make,
will change, will lead,
will pay, succeed.

Peace of mind, a choice that’s bright,
the sage had said: “control your head”.
Until the day you dawned,
you reason I was born,
switching on my lights, growing deep inside,
changing my tide, my nights,
my time, my mind,
my heights, my sight,
my life, what’s right or wrong.

I’ve finally found where I belong,
my hopes and my dreams have all come along,
and if you have doubts I’ll sing this song,
to tell you, remind you, we both belong,
we’ve finally found what we are for,
and nothing can change it, of that I’m sure,
believe me, don’t leave me behind a wall,
I’ll break it, I’ll make it, I’m sure.

This is the time…

And so one day you dawned,
you reason I was born,
switching on my lights, growing deep inside,
changing my tide, my nights,
my time, my mind,
my heights, my sight,
my life, what’s right or wrong.
